HOW TO GET BEACHY WAVES

Gone are the days when women are pressured to have stick straight polished hair. Messy hair or as we now call it the "bed head" look/trend is apparently IN and there is no denying that majority of women nowadays all love the just-rolled-out-of-bed, laid back beach waves. I remember way back when i was in middle school to high school when all the girls in my class would carry a trusty hair doctor comb (remember those days?) including me of course and all we ever do in the bathroom is comb the heck out of our manes. Yes people, that was the trend way back then. Luckily now we get to enjoy the more laid back way of styling our hair that fine haired women like me are so grateful for. With that said, here's how i achieve that laid back beachy waves.

What you'll need:

-Blow dryer
-Curling wand
-Hair clip
-Heat protection spray
-Strong hold hair spray or Sea salt spray

Step 1
blow dry or better yet air dry your hair before anything else and make sure to brush out any tangles.

Step 2

Apply heat protection spay on the areas where you want to curl and split your hair into sections. I usually just clip up the top section of my hair.

Step 3

Start curling the front section of your hair. I normally start with the first side then i move to the other because it makes it so much easier and less messy. I wrap my hair around the iron going away from my face and i leave the ends out to achieve that messy beach waves.  I like to brush it out after curling because it just makes it look effortless and more laid back. And another thing is i don't curl my hair in the same direction to avoid it from looking too glammed up.

Step 4

Set your curls with a strong hold hair spray or if you really want to achieve that perfectly unkempt waves, finish it up by spritzing some sea salt spray.

JUNE ROUND UP: HOMETOWN VISIT AND REUNITED WITH MY BFF

I can't believe it's almost the end of another month. I feel like June went by pretty fast and what do you know, next month's going to be July (hello, birth month!). Well first off, this month has been loaded with a lot of surprises. I managed to reach a milestone and had some amazing opportunities that i'm very excited about working on, i patched things up with some people from my past and i'm so thankful with everything that has been happening to my life as of the moment and i'm enjoying and taking it one step at a time. But June is also a tough month for my best friend. I know she’ll get through this because i’ve been in a similar situation before and i completely understand how she feels right now. But she knows i'll always be there for her 100%. It never gets easy but you’ll learn to accept it and what you really need to focus on is yourself and what’s good for you.

It has also been a month since i last visited my hometown so when i got to visit, my best friend and i went to our usual favourite food spots, which is the newly relocated "Chingkeetea" (because we're iced tea and milk tea addicts), "Gazebo" (for my home decor obsession), and "Sentro" (because we like big servings *oink*) It feels so good to spend time with her again, it felt like ages since i last saw her because we both live in different cities but as per usual, no matter how long we haven't seen each other nothing really changes, it’s just like we saw each other the other day. It's like nothing happened. I'm looking forward for the upcoming months because by August i'm going to fly to Cebu to go visit her and take care of some personal things so that should be fun.
