Weekend getaway

My boyfriend sure does know how to surprise me. Just two weeks ago he planned the perfect weekend getaway for the both of us because these past few months were all about work and a whole lot of things and we hardly get to go on a date and it was just so sweet of him to plan everything just to make me happy because i've been wanting to visit Eden nature park ever since we moved to Davao. Here are some photos from our wonderful nature getaway 😊

Got our guide map ready!

You eat what you catch. But we didn't because we already ate and we don't really like the taste of fresh water fish *teehee!*

The boyfriend having a moment *teehee!*

Me surrounded by these gigantic sunflowers

Colorful pheasant bird which for me looks like a real-life "Sarimanok" hahaha! When you're a filipino you know what i mean.

He wasn't in the mood for a photo op

Oh noting, just some peacocks chilling

And of course the breath taking botanical garden. It just looks like something staight out of the movie "The Sectet Garden" and i just felt like i was Mary Lennox getting lost in this secret paradise.

My own version of Rosemary herb chicken

Before i get into the ingredients part let me just say that i am not an expert whatsoever, i just love to cook :)

What you'll need:

•Boneless chicken breast

•Sea salt

•Black pepper

•Chopped garlic

•Rosemary

•Parsley

•Lemon (we ran out of lemons so i used lime instead)

•Butter

•Olive oil

•Marinate chicken the night before cooking. I added sea salt, black pepper, garlic, rosemary, parsley and olive oil to the chicken and secured it in a ziplock.

•Heat olive oil and add the chicken till golden brown. Check your chicken from time to time since the inside is harder to cook.

•set aside chicken

•use left over oil and add chopped garlic and chopped rosemary. Pour in lime juice and add salt and pepper to taste. To make it more of a sauce add butter.

•pour sauce on top of your chicken and voilà!
